Albert (Bert) Estiamba, Sr., beloved husband, dedicated Father and loving grandfather was born in Ewa, Hawaii on May 20, 1931, to Miguel and Sulpiapia Estiamba. He passed away peacefully in Torrance, California on May 9, 2018. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Consuela Estiamba, and his brother Carlos Estiamba. He is survived by his four children: son and wife Albert Estiamba, Jr. and Christina Estiamba; daughter and husband Jocelyn and James Pickard; daughter and husband; Janelle and Gregory Schooley; daughter and husband Candice and Christian Haskell; and four grandchildren: Ashley, Colt, Allison, and Coral. He loved family vacations, camping, fishing, boating, football, singing, and listening to opera music. He enjoyed “talking story,” cooking, and entertaining at his house. Bert was a survivor, and a hard worker his whole life. After graduating from Saint Louis High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, he attended The University of Dayton. He was a proud Army veteran. After thirty three years of work, he retired from American Airlines. Bert will always be remembered of his generosity, kindness and how much fun he was. Viewing will be held on Thursday May 24, 2018, 5-9PM at Rice Mortuary 5310 Torrance Blvd. in Torrance. Funeral mass will be held Friday May 25, 2018 at 10AM at St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church at 1900 S. Prospect Ave. Redondo Beach, CA. Committal will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park at 2701 S. Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Reception will be held at Torrance Lighthouse Reception Room at Rice Mortuary in Torrance following the committal, at 1:30PM.
