Our beloved son and brother Aaron Sean Rico passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the age of 21. He was a server at Islands Restaurant in Torrance. He was a proud member of the 2008 Torrance High Football Team where he was affectionately known as "Papa Hog." He loved alternative music. His favorite groups were Tiger Army and Avenged Sevenfold. His generosity and kind heart touched everyone he met. His personality was larger than life. Aaron loved to laugh and we'll forever miss hearing it. Aaron is survived by parents, Annette and Cameron Rico of Torrance, CA; brothers and sister, Anthony (25), Andrew (17), and Therese (10). Also left to mourn his loss are his aunts and uncles, 11 cousins, his grandmothers Carla J. Rico and Virginia B. Flores and many many friends. A Rosary Vigil Service will be held at Nativity Catholic Church in Torrance on Wednesday, December 29th at 7:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Philomena Catholic Church on Thursday, December 30th at 10:00 am. Burial Service will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. 4. The Rico Family, Words can not express how very sorry we are for your loss. Aaron was a good football player who worked and played hard and was a great person both on and off the field. It was a pleasure to be able to coach this fine young man who was a team player and also a charismatic individual. We have fond memories of Aaron at Torrance High and will miss him greatly.

  5. I am reminded today how fortunate all of us have been to have known “Rico”. You win at anything in life with men like Rico on your side. He was a gentleman, a fierce competitor, a devoted friend and teammate, and a consummate Tartar. “Real men wear 50’s thru 70’s”

  6. Dear Rico Family, We hold all of you in our hearts and lift you up in prayer. Love, Al and Patrcia Estrada and Family

  7. Aaron, Can’t say we’ll miss you making us flinch whenever ya grabbed Anthony or Aaron by the ankle to make them trip, or Therese doing the same to you…you taught her well. Oh, okay scratch that, we will miss it, it was kinda funny sometimes.. 😉 We’ll miss you forever. We’re so blessed to have had you in our lives. You kids have always meant the world to us. We promise to take care of your family. We love you mijo.

  8. I worked with Aaron for quite a long time at islands, he was a good buddy of mine there. One of the few i could trust and talk to there. He always had a huge smile on his face no matter what he was going through, no matter what. That always gave me hope and made me feel like i could smile too even when life is tough. He had such a big heart. I miss him so much. It’s been really tough on me. I pray for the family a lot. God bless :/

  9. Annette, Cameron and the entire family: I offer up my love and prayers to all of you. Annette is my friend from St. Philly Youth Group in Carson from wayyyy back and we recently reconnected on FB. It was VERY apparent from her posts how much she loves her husband and children. My heart just aches for her and the family… From the entire Moreno clan: We lift the Rico family up in prayer. Annette, you’re such an incredible woman…remember my motto: One day at a time. <3 Peace and Blessings, Cindy
